Simplifying Design for Bloggers newsletter: A weekly dose of all things Canva to go from blog to business.

When we started our first blog back in 2015, we couldn't figure out why our site wasn't getting any traffic.

There are quite a few vanity metrics when it comes to blogging, but website traffic (measured in pageviews or users) is the lifeblood of your blog.

No traffic = no subscribers = no income.

We FELT like we were doing all the things. And yet, crickets. Looking back, we were doing almost nothing right.

In this week's blog post, we're sharing the top five reasons why blog graphics can impact the growth of your blog, email list, and bank account.

📌 Use our FREE Canva video pin templates to get started

🎨 CANVA DESIGN TIP

Want to add a little pizzazz to your graphics? Try animating your shapes!

Select the shape you want to animate and again on 'Animate' from the top menu bar. Choose from a variety of 'Element Animations' to start.

You can edit the animation based on timing, speed, and direction.

We especially love the look of animated shape outlines, which can be done by selecting 'Border' from your shape's color box at the top.

Choose a border color from the right color box and 'transparent' for the actual shape (indicated with a red slash) in the color box to the left.

🧰 TOOLS OF THE TRADE

With Q4 fast approaching, now's the best time to get your blog and sales funnels in tip-top shape so you're ready to make those sales.

To help with this, we're offering FREE mini blog audits just for our readers!

The catch?

Your blog will be in the hot seat! 🔥

Now, do NOT let that deter you from applying.

This will be an incredible learning opportunity for you and others in the same chapter of their blogging business.

Submit your blog for a FREE mini blog audit here. We will not accept applications with blogs making more than $1k a month. We want these audits to be as valuable as possible!

We're all here to support each other in our growth and want every single one of you to succeed in your journey.

Happy designing!
